Fly on the Wall Theatre continues its celebration of the works of acclaimed Irish playwright Conor McPherson with the Canadian professional premiere of Dublin Carol, playing November 14 - 26, 2017, at Toronto's Artscape Youngplace (Opening November 15). Please note seating is limited, so we recommend booking your tickets in advance.

Dublin undertaker John Plunkett is a man haunted by his past - a past he would sooner forget. It's the morning of Christmas Eve and he's back in his office with his new assistant after overseeing an early morning funeral. An unexpected visit from his estranged daughter throws his daily routine into turmoil - a visit that forces him to confront the ghosts of his past, but one that also offers him a final opportunity to make things right.

"Can a play be both brutal and tender, A. Gentle as it is harsh?

...such paradoxes seen utterly natural when describing McPherson's
painfully beautiful Dublin Carol...a small treasure" (Charles Isherwood, Variety)
Directed by Fly on the Wall's Co-Artistic Producer, Rod Ceballos (cited by Now Magazine for Outstanding Direction/2013 Toronto Fringe), Dublin Carol features Fly on the Wall Co-Artistic Producer David Mackett (Port Authority, Cold Comfort), acclaimed Toronto actor/director James Wallis (Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, Shakespeare BASH'd); and actor/director/producer Julia Nish-Lapidus (The Forest, Red One Collective/Storefront Theatre; Hamlet, Shakespeare BASH'd). Patrick Brennan (Port Authority) is the Production Designer, with Cora Matheson as Stage Manager.
