FESTIVAL PLAYERS OF PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY present TEST DRIVE at Rosehall Run Vineyards, and an intimate reading by Test Drive playwright Dave Carley coinciding with the official opening of the festival Players seasonal box office tonight, June 10, 2014.

Tonight, June 10 audiences are invited to hear Dave Carley read from his extensive body of work, get a taste of what's coming for the 2014 Festival Players season, and ask questions of one of Canada's most prolific and celebrated playwrights at this free event at Books and Company in Picton, Ontario. Dave Carley is a Governor General's Award nominated playwright whose work has received over 400 productions throughout the world.

TEST DRIVE will star Murray Furrow as Earl Hughes, an American Motors car dealer. Murray Furrow is known for his roles on the stage and screen including Stratford Festival, The Ron James Show and a role in David Cronenberg's newest film Maps to the Stars. Rounding out the cast are Alison Smyth of Evil Dead: The Musical and the Toronto production of Jersey Boys, and up-and-coming actor Andrew Perun of Nine Mile Portage by Theatre By The Bay and Shrew by RedOne Theatre Collective.

TEST DRIVE will close the 2014 Festival Players season under the Grand Tent at Rosehall Run Vineyards in Wellington, Ontario, August 5 - 24, 2014. Artistic Director Sarah Phillips takes the wheel for TEST DRIVE, the life and times of a car salesman. Earl loves his wife, children and cars - and not always in that order. He also considers his life to be resoundingly ordinary, except that every ten years or so he sets out on a test drive that rocks his world.

Single tickets, Subscription Passes, and hotel and dining packages, are now available online at www.festivalplayers.ca.
