CanStage announces 2006/2007 Season which includes
three world premieres at the Berkeley Street Theatre and a homecoming for the international hit The Overcoat…
Toronto, Ontario … Artistic Producer Martin Bragg today announced the CanStage 2006/2007 Season. "We are thrilled to be presenting another season rich with premieres," states Bragg, now in his ninth year as Artistic Producer at CanStage. "The entire Berkeley season is made up of brand new plays. This is a testament to CanStage's commitment to developing new works and encouraging Canada's emerging talent.
"The CanStage 2006/2007 Season is one of humanity. Our plays will examine our human need for compassion, kindness and respect. In a time when we are becoming increasingly isolated, our need for companionship is ever-growing. It is my hope that this season will inspire audiences to reach out, support and celebrate each other.
"We will be collaborating with some of the best theatre companies in Canada, including Theatre Calgary, Edmonton's Citadel Theatre and the Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg. We will be making artistic connections across the country, bringing us together to celebrate the creation of magnificent theatre."
