Billy Elliot Toronto offers 100 Free Tickets on Monday Morning

Billy Elliot, the show that TIME MAGAZINE named "The Best Musical of the Decade" gets its' Canadian debut in January 2011. The show is presented by Mirvish and individual tickets go on sale this Monday, September 27th at 9:00AM. To celebrate Mirvish is going to be giving away free tickets to the first 100 people in line. In addition the earlybirds will get a Billy tutu and an opportunity to meet the four boys who will rotate the title role of Billy Elliot.


The four boys were announced on September 25th, with three of them having a background at Canada's National Ballet school. The four Billy's will be Cesar Corrales, Myles Erlick, Marcus Pei, and J.P. Viernes. They are all currently rotating the role of Billy Elliot in the production's First National Tour which is currently playing in Chicago and finishes on January 15th, 2011, at which point it will travel to Toronto and begin performances January 29th, 2010.


BWW is excited to bring you a look at the four boys who will be headlining the show, and if you want to meet them in person be sure to get down to The Canon Theatre this Monday when the first tickets go on sale!


CESAR CORRALES is 14 years old and can't wait to be Billy in Toronto! Cesar is of Cuban descent and was born in Mexico. After moving to Canada with his parents, who are also dancers, he studied at Canada's National Ballet School. He has performed in the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's Madama Butterfly and Anna Karenina and The Nutcracker at both the National Ballet of Canada and Les Grands Ballet Canadiens. A member of the IMCO gymnastics club, he participates in numerous competitions. Cesar won first place at the Coupe Quebec and appeared in Shall We Dance with Jennifer Lopez. He loves to play sports, do gymnastics and travel with his family.


MYLES ERLICK is 12 years old and from Burlington, Ontario. His training began at Stars Academy and, recently, Canada's National Ballet School. Myles' passion for the arts led him to various television and theatre roles, recently as an actor on Canadian TV series Flashpoint and as one of four children cast in the Toronto tour of Charlottetown Festival's Anne of Green Gables. Myles would like to thank his teachers, friends and family who have supported him on his journey to Billy Elliot. He is thrilled to take the stage in this production and will proudly tell anyone he meets that he was "Born to Boogie!"


MARCUS PEI is 12 years old and from Iowa City, Iowa. He studied Suzuki piano for nine years under Hikari Nakamura at Preucil School. Marcus started ballet at six years of age with the University of Iowa Youth Ballet, Nolte Academy and the Milwaukee Ballet School. In 2009, he was invited to study full-time at Canada's National Ballet School, and plans to graduate from high school there. In 2009, he danced the lead boys' role of Misha in National Ballet of Canada's Nutcracker. Marcus thanks his family, friends, and teachers for supporting his path toward a professional ballet career.


J.P. VIERNES is 14 years old and was raised in Half Moon Bay, California. Inspired by his sister, J.P. began dancing at the age of seven with the Shely Pack Dancers. He studied at City Ballet in San Francisco for two years. J.P. is the winner of national and regional dance titles under the direction of Shely Pack Manning. He played Jerome in South Pacific (Coastal Repertory Theater, California). He sends many thanks to his Dad, Mom, Jackie, Phil, Rex, Lexi, Shely, friends and family for all of their continued love and support.

The first 100 people in line will receive one (1) free ticket to the first performance of Billy Elliot at 1:30PM on Saturday January 29th, 2011 as well as a Billy tutu. Please note that online and phone sales do not begin until 10:00AM

Tuesday - Saturday at 7:30PM
Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 1:30PM
