Be Astonished By MOMIX: Opus Cactus In Burlington

The Burlington Performing Arts Centre (BPAC) is thrilled to present the internationally acclaimed company MOMIX in their renowned work MOMIX: Opus Cactus October 14 at 7pm. Known for their famous dance / acrobatic / contortionist skills as well as for presenting works of exceptional inventiveness and physical beauty, MOMIX is a world-renowned company of dancer-illusionists founded and directed by Moses Pendleton. Touring the world for the past 35 years, the company not only performs live in theatres, but has also been featured on television, feature films, commercials, and in large-scale world events. With performances on PBS's "Dance in America" series, France's Antenne II, and Italian RAI television, the company's repertory has been broadcast to 55 countries.

MOMIX: Opus Cactus is a remarkable series of 18 vignette reflections on desert habitats of the American Southwest, combining dance and movement with illusion and mystery, utilizing lighting effects, costumes, props, and music for a complete sensory experience, complete with dynamic images of cactuses, slithering lizards and fire dancers.
