If you've seen the Mythbusters on television, you'll know their television show is all about theatrics. They love to test myths from every-day phrases all the way down to things out of science fiction.
And if they don't get the result they were hoping for, odds are they'll blow something up just for fun before the hour is out.
The hosts, Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, have an inherent, theatrical quality about them which makes their television show so much fun to watch.
Now their fans can get their "Mythbusting" fix before a new season premiers in the new year, as the hosts have gone on tour - bringing their theatrical show to stages across North America.
I won't ruin the incredible demonstrations they do on their tour here - but I assure you that while they don't blow anything up in theatre auditoriums, using the principles of science they conduct experiments that are fascinating to watch and also put their own lives in danger (for your own, personal entertainment!)
Between demonstrations, Savage and Hyneman exchange in hilarious banter, answer audience questions, and at a very special performance in Toronto - even shot astronaut Chris Hadfield with a paintball gun that looks like a doomsday device you'd find on the death star. Savage's enthusiasm for everything nerdy and cool is infectious, and his comedic timing could rival any professional stand up comic - so if he ever gets tired of exploding things for a career, that could be an option. Hyneman is, in person, exactly as he appears on television. He wears his trademark ensemble (pictured) - and never gets overly emotional over anything. However, he really opens up during the audience Q&A - where he provides incredible insights into his career, the television show, and some of the Myths they've busted.
The Mythbusters tour continues through 12/18. For more information on the tour and the Mythbusters visit mythbusterstour.com.
