Listening to Rita Carrey's debut CD Around Each Christmas Tree, it's obvious baby brother Jim, one of filmdom's greatest and most successful comic-actors, didn't get all the talent in the family.

This is a wonderful, fun-filled celebration of seasonal classics with performances so infectious you are tempted to toss away your holiday stress and just sing along. The star capping this Christmas pine of musical pleasure is Rita's own, original song that gives the CD its title ... Around Each Christmas Tree. It's the rum in your egg nog with a catchy, pop-rock, maybe even country, melody and lovely lyrics celebrating the true meaning of our Yuletide season.

Jim Carrey's movies have contained several great Christmas songs including, of course, from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" and" Faith Hill's "Where Are You Christmas?" co-written by Mariah Carey with James "Titanic" Horner and Will Jennings. From Disney's "A Christmas Carol," there's "God Bless Us Everyone" sung by the great Andrea Boccelli. Now, Around Each Christmas Tree takes its place among this distinguished company as a CD that is certain to add love, peace and joy to not only this Christmas, but many Christmases to come.

At festive times while growing up, Rita would entertain friends and family with her lovely singing while Jim would roll out his wacky impressions of stars from the Three Stooges to Peter Sellers' Inspector Clouseau and his sidekick, the karate fiend/house boy, Kato.

Encouraged by their musician/comedian father, Percy, and artist/singer mother, Kathleen," the arts and entertainment were central to their development and that of their siblings Pat and John. Rita's music and Jim's comedies and acting are indicative of just how rich in love and in love-of-life the Carrey family was and continues to be in their children, such as Jim's daughter, Jane, and was with Rita's late son, Marty, who encouraged his Mom to begin singing in the first place.

Around Each Christmas Tree is a heartfelt, entertaining CD that any Cindy Lou Who would love to add to his or her collection.

Around Each Christmas Tree is available through itunes and Amazon starting this Thursday, Nov. 20th.
