BAT OUT OF HELL is getting all revved up and Yonge Street is the place to go!

On Monday, May 15, 2017, the musical Bat Out of Hell will launch in North America with a free mini-concert on Yonge Street, which will be closed to traffic from Shuter to Dundas for the occasion.

Mayor John Tory will welcome the cast of the musical, including stars Andrew Polec and Christina Bennington, who will be flying over from the UK, where they've just completed a brilliant, sold-out run at the Opera House in Manchester and are about to open in June at London's Coliseum Theatre. They will perform four songs from the musical.

And if the Mayor and the cast aren't enough for you - "two out of three ain't bad" - well, the legendary rocker Meat Loaf himself will be there. He will introduce the musical and talk about his role in the creation of the iconic album on which the show is based. At this launch, Meat Loaf will hand over the torch of this storied music to a new generation of artists.

Leading off this rocking event will be a parade of Harley Davidsons, which will ride up Yonge to a specially created stage in the middle of the street.

True to the spirit of the original recording, acknowledged as one of the greatest rock albums of all time and celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2017, Bat Out of Hell THE MUSICAL will be a rock-and-roll dream come true.

BAT OUT OF HELL, with book, music & lyrics by Jim Steinman, will begin performances on October 14, 2017 at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre.

Tickets will go on sale on May 24, 2017 at mirvish.com.
