Do you think you have what it takes to be in a Broadway show? You can test out your theory by auditioning for the most successful musical of the 21st century, Disney's The Lion King!

The Lion King is an international phenomenon, having played productions on every continent except Antarctica, and has grossed over one billion dollars to date. The Broadway production is a top-grosser every week, pulling in over one million dollars regularly in just eight performances.

Known for it's incredible visuals, without the use of excessive technology, The Lion King is designed and directed by Julie Taymor, most recently known for her work (and very public exit) on Broadway's Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark. Taymor earned a Tony Award for her work directing The Lion King, making her the first solo female recipient of this esteemed prize. Taymor continues to play an integral part in the show's ongoing success.

The Lion King won six 1998 Tony Awards: Best Musical, Best Scenic Design (Richard Hudson), Best Costume Design (Julie Taymor), Best Lighting Design (Donald Holder), Best Choreography (Garth Fagan) and Best Direction of a Musical.
