The Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts announced the details of its exciting 2015-2016 Season last night. The RHCPA follows up its record breaking 6th season with a lineup guaranteed to provide something for every taste. Filled with premieres and exclusive GTA appearances the 2015-2016 Season will further solidify the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts as the centre of culture in York Region.

"It has been said that every journey begins with a first step and our 2015-2016 season is truly a journey down all roads..." says Michael Grit, Theatre Manager for the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. "We pride ourselves in presenting a season with a vast array of Canadian artists as well as artists from well beyond our borders."


Albert Schultz's Frankly, Sinatra-Wednesday October 14, 2015 at 8pm

The Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts celebrates the opening of the 2015-2016 Season with a historic partnership. For the first time in York Region the acclaimed Soulpepper Theatre Company takes the stage with Frankly, Sinatra. Starring one of Canada's greatest actors, Soulpepper Artistic Director Albert Schultz, Frankly, Sinatra is the answer to the question "Who is the greatest and most influential interpretive artist of the 20th Century?"...Frankly, Sinatra. Master storyteller Albert Schultz weaves an evening of words and music that will warm your heart, fill your mind, tickle your funny bone, and get you moving in the aisles. Single tickets $60, $55

If you ask different people where they first saw Arsenio Hall, you'd probably get a number of different answers. Whether it was his Emmy Award-winning late night talk show "The Arsenio Hall Show" or in the hit comedy "Coming to America", or onstage as one of comedy's greatest stand-up comics. Wherever you remember him from, Arsenio Hall is a household name. The versatile actor, comedian and producer returns to his roots in a stand-up comedy tour de force for one night only. Jane Lynch-Saturday October 24, 2015 at 8pm

Nickelodeon's Bubble Guppies Live!-Thursday October 29, 2015 at 6:30pm

What time is it? It's time for Bubble Guppies! Jump into a bubbly world of learning and laughter with Nickelodeon's Bubble Guppies Live! Ready to Rock. Put on your water-wings and dive in to a swimsational musical underwater adventure! The Bubble Guppies are getting ready to rock n' roll with everyone's favourite tunes, but when a special band member goes missing, the show can't go on! Classic Albums Live takes your most cherished vinyl and reproduce them note for note and cut for cut live onstage. The 2015-2016 CAL series starts with one of music's greatest achievements, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The Beatles' eight studio album features such classic hits as 'A Day in the Life', 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' and 'With a Little Help from My Friends'. Wingfield On Ice-Tuesday November 24, 2015 at 8pm

The RHCPA continues its presentation of the complete Wingfield cycle with the fifth installment, Wingfield On Ice. As the first frosts come to Persephone Township Walt and Maggie Wingfield are all set to welcome new life to the farm. She's expecting, and he's nesting. But Walt is alarmed about the old feuds that divide the neighbours and disturb the tranquility of the community. His attempts to mend other people's fences meet with a resistance as stiff and cold as the weather itself. And the biggest challenge to them all is looming on the horizon.

One of the great and original stand-up comedians of his time, Wright peppers his routines with nonsensical jokes, anti-humor, and one-liners with contrived situations. CAL: Led Zeppelin I-Friday February 19, 2016 at 8pm

Theatreworks' production of Charlotte's Web is based on E.B. White's loving story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte. Wilbur has a problem: how to avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman -- she will create a "miracle." Spinning the words "Some Pig" in her web, Charlotte weaves a solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig, but ensures his place on the farm forever.
