Andrew Craig's Gospel Christmas, a joy-filled holiday favourite, returns to the River Run Centre's Main Stage on Sunday, December 20 at 7:00 pm. Each year Craig assembles some of the finest voices in Canada, and conducts them as they perform soul stirring, seasonally inspired music. This year, the Gospel Christmas Project celebrates its tenth - and final season as Craig prepares to move on to new projects. Joining him for this year's Christmas extravaganza will be soloistsJackie Richardson, Kellylee Evans, Christopher Lowe, and Toya Alexis, as well as the Grammy-nominated Sharon Riley and Faith Chorale, and other surprise guests.

A longtime Guelph resident, Andrew Craig is the former host of CBC Radio's Canada Live. The Live Music Report describes him as "a supreme musician for our modern age, fusing rhythm and blues, gospel, jazz and new age genres". Craig creates and performs original music, directs orchestras and musical productions, produces albums, radio, and television, and composes for theatre. He's worked with artists such as Molly Johnson, Wynton Marsalis, Measha Bruggergosman and Kellylee Evans, opened for Bobby McFerrin, directed tributes to Oscar Peterson and Quincy Jones, and performed twice for Nelson Mandela.

In 2006 Andrew Craig mounted his first Gospel Christmas as a CBC radio and television special. It has since become a highly anticipated annual event for audiences in Southern Ontario. Holiday standards like Little Drummer Boy and god Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen are interpreted with electrifying gospel-style. Audiences can expect to hear renditions of popular Christmas classics including O Come All Ye Faithful, as well as the South African Zulu Carol and the quintessentially Canadian Huron Carol.

Tickets for this performance are $40 for adults, $35 for students and seniors and $25 for youth. Tickets are available at the River Run Box Office at 519-763-3000, or online at http://riverrun.ca/whats-on/andrew-craigs-gospel-christmas-2/
