Four exquisite productions that will offer audiences across York Region a variety of magical, unparalleled music theatre entertainment. The season is diverse in theatrical styles, giving audiences of all ages and interests something to be entertained by. "We've challenged ourselves to create our most exciting season yet" says Artistic Director Sarah Langford. "We are celebrating 20 consecutive years of bringing quality arts entertainment North of Toronto, and we invite audiences to celebrate with us as well!"

Wavestage will open the 20th Season at Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts with a fiercely entertaining production of Legally Blonde, The Musical (July 10-13, 2014). This musical adaptation of the popular 2001 film will delight audiences with it's energy, wit, and non-stop musical hits. "Are you psyched, or what?"

The season will continue at Newmarket Theatre in November with Anything Goes (November 6-9, 2014). This Cole Porter masterpiece is a saucy show with nostalgic hits. A production that is guaranteed to excite all ages!

In February 2015, Wavestage will debut it's production of Follies (January 30-February 1, 2015). This show is considered by many to be one of the best, most underrated Sondheim musicals of all time. "Follies is an undeniable classic", says Langford. It is an unflinching portrait of love and passion that theatre lovers region-wide should not miss.

Finally, audiences can fly with Wavestage's Peter Pan (April 23-26, 2015) for a swashbuckling epic that delivers non-stop action, spell binding music and stunning choreography. A story so magical it actually takes flight. This smash hit musical adaption of J.M Barrie's classic story is a favourite for children ages 4 to 104!

Langford explains her motivation for this season, "After a lifetime of working in theatre I am still awed by the process of what theatre can be. It is a place for shared creativity and an opportunity for self reflection, group experience, the sharing of pleasure, and sometimes, grief. This season, our goal is to surround you with optimism and engage your spirit and imagination until you are transformed and the true grace of our mutual humanity is revealed".
