HBO remembers Carrie Fisher with an encore presentation of WISHFUL DRINKING this Sunday, Jan. 1 (9:00-10:20 p.m. ET/PT) on the main HBO channel.

Hollywood legend Debbie Reynolds, who passed away yesterday afternoon, was a frequent guest star on NBC's long-running comedy WILL & GRACE. The actress portrayed Bobbi Adler, the outspoken, over-the-top mother of Grace Adler, played by Debra Messing.

Debbie Reynolds is, of course, most fondly remembered as a star of musicals on stage and screen - but Reynolds did much more for Hollywood beyond standing in front of its shining lights. She is responsible for saving many of the items we today consider priceless historical artifacts, including an iconic pair of Dorothy's ruby slippers.

Just one day after the heartbreaking passing of her daughter Carrie Fisher, the world was again shocked to learn of the tragic passing of Hollywood legend Debbie Reynolds. One of the brightest stars of the Golden Age of Movie Musicals, Reynolds came to fame at just 19 years old in the MGM classic SINGIN' IN THE RAIN.

Now we have learned her mother, Debbie Reynolds, (Hollywood icon and mother of Fisher), has passed away following a stroke at the home of her son this afternoon. Reynolds was reportedly taken to the emergency room just after 1pm.

According to the BBC, British singer George Michael, most known for his years as part of Wham has died at 53 years old, 'peacefully at home' with no further details available at this time.

Yesterday BroadwayWorld was saddened to report the passing of Tony Award Winner Dick Latessa, who is fondly remembered for his timeless Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning performance as Wilbur Turnblad in the original Broadway production of Hairspray. Latessa was a veteran of the stage and screen. He was most recently seen on Broadway in the revival of Promises, Promises and The Lyons.

The Associated Press reports that Florence Henderson has passed away at the age of 82. Best known for her work on The Brady Bunch, Henderson was also a veteran of the stage. She made her Broadway debut at the age of 18 and played Laurey in the 1953 revival of Oklahoma! at City Center as well as the title role of Fanny at the Majestic Theatre in 1954.
