The final program of Alan Gilbert's inaugural season as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic will be broadcast live, Thursday, June 24, 2010, on 'The New York Philharmonic This Week', a two-hour national, weekly radio program of concerts by the Philharmonic.

Grammy Award-winning mezzo-soprano Susan Graham returns to the New York Philharmonic for performances of Chausson's lush Poème de l'amour et de la mer at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall under the baton of Sir Andrew Davis (June 3-5).

Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in his first free Memorial Day Concert, Monday, May 31, 2010, at 8:00 p.m., at The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, Amsterdam Avenue at 112th Street. This will be the 19th annual free Memorial Day Concert offered by the New York Philharmonic, a tradition begun in 1992 as a gift to the people of New York City. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Music will also be piped out onto the adjacent Pulpit Green, weather permitting.

Due to popular demand, the New York Philharmonic has added a fifth dinner to its series of post-concert Musical Suppers. Kurt Gutenbrunner - chef and proprietor of New York City restaurants Wallsé, Café Sabarsky, and Blaue Gans and the wine bar The Upholstery Store - will design the menu to be served on Friday, May 28, 2010.

Matt Cavenaugh, who recently appeared on Broadway as Tony in the revival of WEST SIDE STORY, has joined the cast of Stravinsky's L'HISTOIRE DU SOLDAT (A SOLDIERS TALE) as The Soldier, appearing with fellow Arkansas native Daniel Davis (Niles in 'The Nanny') as The Devil, and Philharmonic radio host, Alec Baldwin as The Narrator.
