GLEE THE 3D CONCERT Movie Soundtrack Gets 8/9 Release

Experience Glee's greatest hits performed live on Glee The 3D Concert Movie (Motion Picture Soundtrack) available on Tuesday August 9th. This soundtrack features 22 songs from Glee The 3D Concert Movie (in theatres August 12th) performed at the Glee Live! In Concert! tour. Glee The 3D Concert Movie (Motion Picture Soundtrack) includes the cast's anthemic version of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin,' the chart topping original song 'Loser Like Me', and a bonus track of the cast's rendition of Florence + The Machine's 'Dog Days Are Over'(see below for full track listing). Glee The 3D Concert Movie (Motion Picture Soundtrack) includes a special appearance The Dalton Academy Warblers doing their much loved takes on Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream,' P!nk's 'Raise Your Glass' and Paul McCartney's 'Silly Love Songs.'

There have been many questions and rumors regarding the fate of three of GLEE's main characters: Rachel (played by Broadway veteran Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith) and Kurt (Chris Colfer). GLEE creator Ryan Murphy had said in an interview that the trio would be leaving the series at the end of the third season. During that early July interview, Murphy stated that the characters were 'not going to be back at all for season 4.' Last week, BroadwayWorld asked what you want from GLEE after the third season concludes in 2012. And the clear winner with 69% of the vote... follow them to college along with a new class on GLEE.

Jane Lynch Cut From GLEE 3D CONCERT Movie

On August 6th, the World Premiere of GLEE The 3D Concert Movie took place at the Mann Village Theater. According to USA Today, Jane Lynch has been completely cut from the theatrical release of the film, but will be featured on the DVD. Though Lynch did not tour with the rest of the cast, she appeared at one of the concert stops.

THE GLEE PROJECT contestants this week were assigned Cyndi Lauper's 'True Colors' as their homework assignment, with the challenge meant to test their 'believability' factor - something that it seems from past evidence that many of them will struggle with. The guest judge for the homework assignment is Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina on GLEE and an original cast member of Spring Awakening), who chooses Hannah for her first homework assignment win and a one-on-one tutor session.

People have to tell me to slow down. I plan on playing every role on Broadway. I want to do Evita. I want to do Sweeney Todd with [Glee costar] Chris Colfer. We want to do Wicked. I'll be Elphaba and he wants to play ‘Guy-linda.' I want to do movies, make music. Glee is only the beginning.'

GLEE PROJECT Coming Back for Season 2?

According to EW.com, the executive producer of The Glee ProjectMichael Davies hinted that theshow will indeed return for a second season. He commented: 'Talks have begun, and we're planning, budgeting, and discussing how to do the casting process, which is the biggest thing. It is not officially picked up, but having been through this, just based on the ratings growth we've seen ... more than 100 percent in key demos ... I feel incredibly confident that we are coming back, and this is certainly in my plans.'
