The Theatre League has announced its season will include 8 touring shows, including several Broadway musicals, at the Fred Kavli Theatre.

The season will include:

Michael Flatley'S LORD OF THE DANCE
Nov. 25, 2009

More than 100 million people worldwide have seen this international Irish dancing extravaganza that has performed sold out shows in over 67 countries. LORD OF THE DANCE has initianed a new generation into the world of Irish dance. Adding to the performance are costumes, lighting and staging that are cinematic in scope.

AN IRISH CHRISTMAS
Nov. 28, 2009

The glorious music of sensational Irish Fiddler Kathleen Keane, Irish button accordian wizard David Munnelly, the Kerry Dance Troupe leading the Irish dance spectacle, storytelling, laughter, and plenty of Irish soul. The night celebrates the wonder of AN IRISH CHRISTMAS.

THE WEDDING SINGER
Dec. 1-6, 2009

Nominted for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, THE WEDDING SINGER brings the sweet and funny Adam Sandler-Drew Barrymore movie to life as a new Broadway musical. Three weddings, a Bar Mitzvah and a wild trip to a Vegas "chapel of love" keep things hopping in this look back at the '80s - big hair and all.

Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Dec. 11-13, 2009

Thousand Oaks Repertory Company presents this holiday classic recreating the magic of Christmas. The show is directed by Allan Hunt and original songs by Rick and Vivian Rhodes.

AVENUE Q
Jan. 19-24, 2010

Broadway's smash-hit 2004 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, AVENUE Q is a show about trying to make it in NYC with big dreams and a small bank account. Called "one of the funniest shows you're ever likely to see" by Entertainment Weekly, it features a cast of people and puppets who tell their story in a smart, risque and entertaining way. The New Yorker calls it "subversive and uproarious."

THE DROWSY CHAPERONE
Mar. 9-14, 2010

Winner of the most 2006 Tony Awards of any musical, this show takes place in the world of the 1920s Broadway and glamour tale of a celebrity bride and her wedding day.

HAIRSPRAY
Apr. 2-3, 2010

Be swept away to 1960s Baltimore in a show full of romance, dance and the biggest hair this side of the Mississippi with HAIRSPRAY, the Broadway musical phenomenon that garnered 8 Tony Awards, took the country by storm and inspired a major motion picture. HAIRSPRAY is pure Broadway. The New York Times has heralded HAIRSPRAY as, "If life were everything it should be, it would be more like Hairspray."

RAIN: A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES
Apr. 6-11, 2010

From Ed Sullivan to Abbey Road, RAIN is a multi-media, multi-dimensional experience, complete with historical footage and 1960s TV commercials. All music and vocals are performed totally live. "A thrilling bit of time-warping nostalgia...Boomer Heaven!" raves the Fort-Worth Star Telegram.
