Broadway and television star Kristin Chenoweth, best known for defining the role of Glinda the Good Witch in the hit musical Wicked, comes to The Fred Kavli Theatre, Friday, March 11, 2016 at 8:00 pm.
Chenoweth has starred in a variety of successful film, television, voiceover, and stage projects over the span of her career. She received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on the ABC series Pushing Daisies and a Tony Award for her performance in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Most recently, she earned a Tony Award nomination for her role in Broadway's On The Twentieth Century. She has previously earned two Emmy Award nominations for her role in Fox's Glee, as well as a Tony Award nomination for the role of Glinda in Wicked.
Chenoweth has appeared across the globe in concert as a soloist and has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Pops, the National Symphony, the Chicago Symphony, and the San Francisco Symphony. She recently received a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of Live Performance/Theatre.
Chenoweth will perform songs from her "Coming Home" tour, which includes hits from Wicked and Glee, both shows the actress has starred in, as well as classics like "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Over the Rainbow" and "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" (from Phantom of the Opera).
