Conjo Players Theatre has released exciting news about ENCORE! An Evening Celebrating Theatre

Jean Louisa Kelly has joined the cast as a special guest artist. She is an actress/singer/dancer best known for her role as Kim Warner on the long running sitcom Yes, Dear. Other notable roles include Tia opposite John Candy in the John Hughes hit Uncle Buck; Rowena Morgan opposite Richard Dreyfuss in Mr. Holland's Opus; and Luisa in Michael Ritchie's film of the long-running Off-Broadway musical The Fantasticks. She composed and performed all the songs in her album "Color of Your Heart," which was inspired by the record "Free to Be... You and Me," and acted in and composed the single "Don't Give Up" for the movie, 1000 to 1: The Corey Weissman Story. She also wrote and performed all of the songs on her EPs "Willing," and "Relax, Nothing is Under Control," which are available on iTunes, Amazon, and other digital platforms. She is currently working on a new album of standards, featuring her signature song "Someone to Watch Over Me," to be released this spring. Most importantly, she is usually on time for pick up at her children's schools!

Randy Rogel has joined as Honorary Co-Chair for the evening. He has won three Emmy Awards (nominated for ten), a Peabody Award, two Annie awards, three Leo Awards, and the Ovation Award. He recently co-wrote the hit song "Poisonous Love" for Kristen Chenoweth with John Powell for the major motion picture Rio 2. He was show-runner for the animated series 1001 Nights and won Leo Awards for Writing and Best Animated Series at Disney.

Randy wrote songs and scripts for the animated movies Peter Pan - Return to Neverland, Cinderella II, Cinderella III, Winnie the Pooh, Around the World In Eighty Days, The Three Musketeers, and 101 Dalmatians II. Randy spent nine years on staff at Warner Bros. Animation where he began as an original writer on the Batman series and then joined the staff of Steven Spielberg's Animaniacs, for which he wrote most of the songs and many of the scripts. Randy is a West Point graduate with 10 years service as an officer in the combat arms. He has a B.S. from Boston University, a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the academy and a Masters Degree in International Relations from Boston University.

Cynthia Ferrer also joins as Honorary Co-Chair. She's been a professional member of Actors Equity and Screen Actors Guild for over 25 years. She's done three national tours; worked in most every major theatre in the US; and has appeared in leading roles in over 100 plays and musicals -- including Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Happy Days, Singin' in the Rain, Hello Dolly, My One and Only, Pal Joey, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Sleepless in Seattle, Damn Yankees, Footloose, Blood Brothers, Elf, 9 to 5, and Hans Christian Anderson. In film and television, Cynthia appeared in Mother's Day, Valentines Day, Georgia Rule, The Coat, Small Emergencies, Cougartown, Crossing Jordan, Judging Amy, Port Charles, and General Hospital. Cynthia has had the pleasure of working along side Garry Marshall, Julia Roberts, Paul Williams, Carol Burnett, Jennifer Garner, Buddy Ebsen, Michael Feinstein, The Nicholas Brothers, Lindsay Lohan, Vickie Lawrence, Onna White, Tommy Tune, Randy Skinner, and Jeff Calhoun.
