Conejo Players Theatre in Thousand Oaks, CA has announced a full calendar events for April until late June. Theatre Workshops, auditions, and the the upcoming plays, HEAVEN CAN WAIT & STALAG 17, are all included in the Spring/Early Summer lineup. PLOT SUMMARY:

Classic farce and love story. After arriving in the Hereafter by mistake, Prizefighter Joe Pendleton is informed that his body has been cremated and he is sent back to earth as Farnsworth, a wealthy financier who is about to be murdered by his wife. Joe, as Farnsworth, can be "seen by the audience" but not by the other characters in the show - confusion and mayhem abound. Farnsworth disapproves of Joe's treatment of his body (and money), and raises a fuss to have it back. Trouble is - Joe is falling in love and is still not ready to go!

PLOT SUMMARY:

A dramedy about a group of American prisoners who embarrass and irritate their captors as they try to escape from a German prison camp, Bevan and Trzcinski's plot revolves around the escape of an American who will face serious punishment for sabotaging a train (as will the fellow prisoners who hide him!) Filled with moments of tension and light the show proves to be a tense thriller keeping the audience on its toes! The entire action takes place in a Barracks of Stalag 17, somewhere in Germany during World War II.

FUNDRAISERS

Conejo Players will be holding fundraisers on the second Wednesday of every month at Rubio's Restaurant and on the third Thursday of every month at TGI Fridays. 

Theatre Workshops Announced!

Next workshop will be Lighting Design on Wednesday, May 12 & May 19. Led by Jack Allway, Associate Director of the Alex Theatre, who has extensive lighting design experience.

Following that will be Stage Management, led by Jim Diderrich, on May 22 & 23. Workshop will include stage manager's responsibilities, people skills and calling a show and will include practical experience.

Registration begins 30 days prior to each workshop.

Conejo Players is proud to present several theatre related workshops in 2010.  All workshops are offered at no charge on a first come first served basis. The schedule for the remainder of the year includes both behind the scenes classes and workshops for those who prefer being onstage.
