The Conejo Players raised over $10,000 at its 5th Annual Toast to Community Theatre on Sunday, July 27th, 2014 -- making it one of CPT's most successful fundraisers to date! The event at J. Hamilton Wines in Westlake Village included dinner and drinks, opportunity drawings, an in-credible silent auction, and a special live performance.

"The 5th Annual Toast to Community Theatre was a delightful success! Dozens of silent auction and raffle items donated by local businesses; a tireless crew of volunteers; a select troupe of CPT performers; and a packed room of attendees all added up to a thrilling night of laughter, singing, delicious food and wine, and smiles everywhere you turned," reports Toast committee co-chair Rachael Pugh. "So let's raise our glasses and toast to '56 years and going strong,' thanks to all our supporters!"

A short program of songs covering recent shows produced at Conejo Players Theatre was performed en-thusiastically by CPT alumni creating a truly spectacular evening of live theatre.

The non-profit theatre relies only on ticket sales, individual donations, and funds raised from their yearly Toast to keep it running successfully. Built in 1964, CPT's current building has been expanded twice -- but it's in need of further improvements to prepare for the next 50 years of community participation and cultural involvement. CPT is actively accepting donations in any denomination.

Since their inception in 1958, The Conejo Players has striven to bring top-shelf, professional-quality live entertainment -- at affordable prices -- to audiences from around the Conejo Valley and beyond. Each year, CPT offers six Mainstage productions and one Children's production; in addition, they offer a varie-ty of low-cost workshops for children, teens, and adults ... and they provide a special performance of their Children's production free of charge to over 175 local Title I schoolchildren.
