Cabrillo Music Theatre brings its yearly Holiday Show for the troops to the Civic Arts Plaza for the first time, with CABRILLO'S 2014 HOLIDAY FAMILY CELEBRATION! For years, Cabrillo has been putting on a specially-prepared variety show exclusively for the troops and their families, at the Naval Base Ventura County. This year, Cabrillo will transfer this memorable performance to the Scherr Forum tonight, December 13th, the evening following the show for the troops.

Now Cabrillo audiences will get to enjoy the show, featuring Cabrillo Music Theatre show stars, the Kabrillo Kids, The Cabrillo Teen Project, plus familiar holiday characters, audience sing-a-longs, a pre-show reception with audience and cast, and an appearance by Santa Claus himself! Perfect and affordable for the entire family, CABRILLO'S 2014 HOLIDAY FAMILY CELEBRATION turns Cabrillo's holiday gift to the military into a new Holiday tradition at the Civic Arts Plaza!

"For years, people have been asking me about the show we do for our troops -- what kind of show is it, who performs, can I see it?," says Cabrillo Music Theatre's Artistic Director, Lewis Wilkenfeld. "This year, we decided to do the show twice -- once at the Naval Base for our troops and families, and once at the Scherr Forum for the public!" Adds Wilkenfeld, "The Naval Base show is the finest thing we do all year -- and we all volunteer our time to do it -- it's an honor to show our audience this labor of love."

Cabrillo stars past and present have lined up for this year's show, including Lakeisha Houston (the star of Cabrillo's recent hit, MEMPHIS), Frank Authello Andrus II (IN THE HEIGHTS), Harley Jay (GREASE), Zachary Ford (BYE BYE BIRDIE), Jennifer Foster (several Cabrillo shows and television's "Glee"), Harrison Meloeny (BIRDIE), J.D. Driskill (LEGALLY BLONDE), Francesca Barletta (GREASE and BIRDIE), Kurt Kemper and Barbara Cooper.

The Kabrillo Kids and the Cabrillo Teen Project perform specially prepared material, and Lloyd Cooper serves as Musical Director and leads the band. Popular Holiday characters join Santa Claus as well. And, while the show begins at 8:00PM, the fun begins before that, as the cast and characters will greet the audience beginning at 7PM outside the Scherr Forum.

Tickets are $29 each, and are on sale only through www.cabrillomusictheatre.com for what promises to be a warm, wonderful and special evening of entertainment. Spend the holidays with the Cabrillo Music Theatre Family at the 2014 HOLIDAY FAMILY CELEBRATION!
