Under the pressure to perform, a greater power struggle emerges.LISTEN. OUT LOUD. Four actors face the challenges of censorship when the government issues a mandatory ban on theatrical performance. In the forty minutes before the house opens for a Shakespearean festival, they scramble to make the show go on despite the fact that crucial elements are disappearing. Personalities collide as they fight against the system to maintain hope and keep the theatre from collapsing in on itself.This production features the 2018/19 apprentice cohort. Returning to the American Stage mainstage as actors are: Kaylie Horowitz (MAMMA MIA!), Dylan Renfrow (MAMMA MIA!), Donovan Whitney (BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY) and Rose Hahn (LONG DAYS JOURNEY INTO NIGHT).
