Scotland’s world-renowned Battlefield Band infuses traditional and original Celtic music with history, energy, and power. With lyrics that are both ancient and as current as the morning news, the band has been performing on the international scene for more than three decades, inspired by their rich heritage of Celtic music and fired by the strength of the modern Scottish cultural scene. Band members Mike Katz, Alasdair White, Sean O’Donnell, Ewen Henderson pioneered the integration of bagpipes with fiddle, keyboards, guitar and voice, to create a sound that is unique, timeless, and full of passion and joy. The band mixes old songs and tunes with new self-penned material, playing them on a unique blend of ancient and modern instruments: bagpipes, synthesizers, fiddles, guitars, cittern, bass, whistles, and bouzouki. This is the band that others measure themselves against. Don’t miss as the Batties bring Scotland to the Palladium.
