The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe is a tour through the galaxy guided by a self-proclaimed crazy person, Trudy, who collects data about life on earth with the help of her "space chums."

Trudy uses her umbrella hat (her own invention) to place herself in the minds and bodies of her hosts, transmitting snatches of their lives and then sharing them with the audience. She acts as a sort of consultant to her alien friends, recording all of the data she finds on post-it-notes.

This quest through space as written by Jane Wagner, Directed by Christopher Rutherford and performed by local actress Jonelle Meyer, takes the audience on a journey through the lives of more than a dozen random people and explores the bonds they share. Tampa Bay audiences flocked to see Meyer in this excellent play made famous by Lily Tomlin. This classic show is an exciting part of freeFall's Tandem Series.

The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe runs tonight, February 3, 6, 10 & 13 and will be presented in freeFall's Studio Theatre. Tickets are $15. For more information and tickets, visit www.freefalltheatre.com or call (727) 498-5205.
