Will the world truly end on December 21, 2012? Find out this Sunday! WMNF's Soundstage presents the final episode of COSMIC SIGNIFICANCE 2012, a new sci-fi comedy series by Dewey Davis-Thompson and Elizabeth Brackman on July 29 at 9pm on WMNF's HD3 channel and online at wmnf.org/thesource.

Starring WMNF's Ed Lehman as xeno-archaeologist Dr. Von Icken and USF Theatre students Joe Montalto, Audrey Henson and Clinton Lancaster, the final episode includes a battle in the rings of Saturn between the Space Hopi and Horse-ships of the Apocalypse, a rock concert, Pharaonic wedding and virgin sacrifice to mark the end of the Great Mayan Pictun on December 21, 2012. Apotheosis or Armageddon?

WMNF Operations Officer and Soundstage Radio Theatre producer Sheila Cowley calls this six-episode series "Dewey's Epic Sci-Fi Ring Cycle" and she praises the superb sound design and special effects by Dave Lassa. The Gazette called Davis-Thompson "Oscar Wilde for the Third Millennium" and Gary Garrison of The Loop praises his "great wit and wicked sense of humor." Cosmic Significance 2012 soars directly into his favored milieu of socio-political commentary and sexual innuendo. Elizabeth Brackman is also co-author of Coco and Luce: The Last Train to Peking.
