The plays selected for production at Theatre Odyssey's Eleventh Annual Ten-Minute Play Festival will be announced on Monday, March 7 at 5 p.m. at The Starlite Room in Sarasota.

"We're excited to celebrate this year's selected plays, and to see them produced at this year's Festival. And we're also grateful for the talented members of our community who submitted their work this year - every year it gets better and better" said SueLynn, President of Theatre Odyssey's Board of Directors.

"Once again, the Starlite Room has generously offered their venue for this event. Theatre Odyssey will provide hors d'oeuvres with a cash bar available for guests," said SueLynn.

To attend the announcement, visit Theatre Odyssey's Eventbrite page to obtain a free ticket for admission. The Starlite Room is located at 1001 Cocoanut Avenue. It is the former location of the Broadway Bar.

Eight plays will be produced on May 5 through May 8 at the Jane B. Cook Theatre at the FSU/Asolo Center for the Performing Arts. A Best Play and a runner-up will be announced following the final performance on Sunday, May 8. The winner of Theatre Odyssey's recent Student Ten-Minute Playwriting Festival, Julien Freij's BROTHERS IN ARMS, will be presented as a bonus play.

The Executive Producers for the Eleventh Annual Ten-Minute Play Festival are the Community Foundation of Sarasota County and WUSF Public Media, and our Producers are SCENE Magazine and the Aaron Family Foundation.
