Spanish Lyric Theatre and SLT Productions, the nation's oldest Hispanic theatre company and the longest running theatre in the greater Tampa Bay Area, is pleased to present the widely successful THE LEGENDARY BOBBY DARIN Las Vegas-style tribute concert event for a limited two performance engagement December 5 and 7 to kick off the new professional cabaret series at the 100-year-old historic Centro Asturiano de Tampa in Ybor City.

THE LEGENDARY BOBBY DARIN, which continues to tour for its 6th consecutive year, is the kickoff event for the new "Casa Blanca @ the Centro Asturiano" cabaret series in the Centro's stunning grand ballroom which pays tribute to the days of the original Copacabana Supper Club in New York City and the Latin Casinos in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The first event tells the story of Bobby Darin's short but remarkable life through his smash hit songs, stories, and multimedia interviews and archival footage of Darin himself, his star wife, Sandra Dee, Dick Clark, and many others.

Of star Michael Mathews, "Mack Is Back!" says the Official Bobby Darin Fan Club. "Born For The Role," says the Tampa Bay Times. "King Charisma" and "A true entertainer" have also been written of Mathews who, despite his numerous Broadway musical and concert successes, reaffirms in his biography that his Darin show continues to be his most passionate, ongoing project.

Supporting Mathews are the beautiful Copacabana dancers portrayed by Tara Rodriguez, Ashley Massicotte, and Mallory Quinn, as well as special guest vocalist, Jessica Avis Morin.

THE LEGENDARY BOBBY DARIN runs approximately two hours with one intermission. Performances are Friday, December 5 at 8 P.M. and Sunday, December 7 at 3 P.M.

Ticket prices range $25.00 for general admission, $35.00 for preferred seating, and $50.00 for the VIP Experience which includes post-show meet-and-greet with the cast and open bar. Tickets are available by calling (813) 884-5154 or online at www.SpanishLyricTheatre.com. The Centro Asturiano is located in the historic Ybor City district at 1913 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, FL 33602.
