The Salerno Theatre Co., "Tampa Bay's Musical Theatre Company," in association with Carrollwood Cultural Center and the Pinellas Park Performing Arts Center, is pleased to embark upon its 2009/2010 Florida Tour of BROADWAY IN CONCERT.
Following its world premiere at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in 2006 exclusive to only Fortune 500 executives and its subsequent three year regional tour, BROADWAY IN CONCERT TM returns to Tampa Bay! Just updated with 10 new songs and starring four of the original and touring cast members, BROADWAY IN CONCERT TM features a retrospective montage of 50 years of Broadway's biggest hits! From Annie Get Your Gun, My Fair Lady and Chicago to The Phantom of The Opera, Les Misérables and Wicked, all of the greatest showstoppers are here.
In addition to its gala premiere and over four years of sold-out performances, BROADWAY IN CONCERT TM enjoys the unique distinction of being endorsed by Broadway's biggest composers and/or their representatives including Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Frank Wildhorn and Stephen Schwartz among others.
"Our clients had just come from the Lincoln Center and we were looking for a similar experience," says Stephen Jacobs of Chicago-based Really Great Meetings. "We looked at other companies from Miami to Tampa and even Orlando. Salerno's BROADWAY IN CONCERT TM was that and more! The production was phenomenal! In all my years, I have never seen anything like it!"
The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center's production manager, Michael Chamoun says, "I've been involved in the professional theatre industry for over 40 years. I believe that I can be considered an expert in judging the quality of a show. Salerno's BROADWAY IN CONCERTTM was very professional… up to the standard of our Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center-produced shows. The audience loved it and responded after each and every number! I have no reservations about recommending this show to everyone!"
BROADWAY IN CONCERT features returning cast members Jorge Acosta, Nicole Allegretto, Jaime Giangrande-Holcom and Michael Mathews. Salerno veterans Craig Hartfield, Hilary Kraus and Sara Maas join the cast.
