M.A.D. Theatre, Tampa's "Music, Acting, Dance" company, presents NUNSENSE -A-Men! tonight, February 7-17, 2013 at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the David A. Straz Center for the Performing Art's Shimberg Theater, 1010 North W.C. MacInnes Place, Tampa. Tickets for the show are $20 and are available online at www.strazcenter.org.

NUNSENSE A-Men!, featuring an all male cast, begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters. To finance the burials, the nuns stage a variety show benefit highlighting the unique talents of Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head. Featuring star turns, tap and ballet dancing, an audience quiz, and comic surprises, this show has become an international phenomenon.

M.A.D. Theatre's production is directed by Tony Gilkinson with musical direction by Mark Anthony Jelks. The cast includes Tampa favorites Marcus Blake, Rick Faurote, Tony Gilkinson,
D.J. Holt, and Kevin Lara. The show is intended for a mature audience.

M.A.D. Theatre of Tampa, founded in 1999, incorporates the three performing arts-music, acting and dance-to bring affordable musical theater to stages throughout the Tampa Bay area. Committed to providing superior entertainment by expanding the horizons of its audiences and encouraging all individuals to create, perform and develop their talents, M.A.D. Theatre is a non-profit organization run by community volunteers.
