Katherine Michelle Tanner, Natalie Symons, and Roxanne Fay star in the play the Seattle Times calls a "sensitive and witty trip through life, all our lives, brilliantly written". Lark Eden is an epistolary play that will be presented tonight and tomorrow, October 29th and 30th at 8:00pm in Bowne's Lab at Florida Studio Theatre. This is an independent production, not affiliated with FST.

Tracing the life-long friendships of three southern women beginning in the Depression era and continuing through the early years of the new century, Lark Eden offers a lyrical exploration of the ties that bind lives together as tightly as family, and as surely as love. From frog-catching girls with skinned knees to world-wizened grandmothers, the story follows three women through personal trials and victories no less daunting than the historical tribulations which provide the backdrop to these everyday American lives.

Locally, Lark Eden has enjoyed runs at several area theatres, including American Stage, New American Theatre, and freeFall Theatre in St. Petersburg, and at Sarasota's Home Resource Gallery. Former freeFall managing director Jim Sorensen says, "It is such a sincere, hilarious, moving story - no wonder people keep asking when they can see it again."

Tanner is an award-winning Sarasota actress who was most recently seen in Banyan Theatre's The Amish Project. Fay has received recognition for multiple performances, including the Theatre Tampa Bay (TTB) Award for 'Outstanding Featured Actress' for The Normal Heart at freeFall.

Rounding out the cast is Lark Eden's author, Natalie Symons, who appeared in Urbanite Theatre's Reborning this summer. Symons also authored The Buffalo Kings, which received 8 TTB nominations and two awards, including 'Outstanding Ensemble' and 'Outstanding Lead Actress' for Tanner. Symons was recently honored at the 2015 Creative Loafing Best of the Bay Awards with the Critics' Pick for 'Best Playwright'.

Lark Eden plays October 29th & 30th, 2015 at 8:00 pm at Florida Studio Theatre in Bowne's Lab, 1265 1st St., Sarasota, Florida 34236. Tickets are $18 general admission, and may be purchased at nataliesymons.com or by calling (727) 248-0025. Limited tickets will be available at the door. Please note that Lark Eden is not an FST production.
