Experience a vibrant performance by the Chicago-based Joffrey Ballet, coming to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Thursday, March 10th at 8:00pm. The revered Joffrey Ballet celebrates 60 years as a company in their 2015-2016 season and has become one of the most recognizable arts organizations in America as well as one of the top dance companies in the world. Expressing a one-of-a-kind, inclusive perspective on dance, the Joffrey Ballet will perform pieces which include major story ballets, reconstructions of masterpieces and contemporary works. "America's Company of Firsts," the Joffrey Ballet is classically trained to the highest standards - proudly reflecting the diversity of America with its company repertoire. The program will include In Creases (choreography by Justin Peck, music by Philip Glass), Rendez-vous (choreography by Nicolas Blanc, music by René Aubry), Passengers (choreography by Myles Thatcher, music by Steve Reich) and Fool's Paradise (choreography by Christopher Wheeldon, music by Joby Talbot).
