After breaking box office records with the comedy "Murder at the Howard Johnson's and Broadway Musical Revue, "PUTTIN' ON THE GLITZ!", Jimmy Ferraro's STUDIO THEATRE (5732 Main Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652) presents the uproarious comedy "COOKIN' WITH GUS", April 15th through May 15th, 2016. Opening Night is Friday, April 15th at 7:30pm.
The production stars JESSICA GLASS, RAND SMITH, SARA DELBEATO and JIMMY CHANG.
"COOKIN' WITH GUS" a side-splitting comedy about Gussie Richardson, a gifted cook who lands her own television show, only to discover that she can't face a camera. Her live-in partner, who is a part-time hypnotist; her high-powered agent; and the Jewish-gypsy princess next door pitch in to help her get over her fears in the most unorthodox ways.

ABOUT THE CAST:
Jessica Glass (Gussie Richardson) - Jessica feels so blessed to once again be trodding the boards here at Jimmy Ferraro's Studio Theater. Jess began her Theater career by attaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater with concentrations in both directing and performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has performed in the most popular outdoor drama in the U.S., Tecumseh, as Mrs. Galloway. Her credits also include Mother in A New Brain, Lil Buttercup in H.M.S. Pinafore, Peggy Day in The Women and Joan in The Guys, to name a few. She's also worked as a parade performer at The Magic Kingdom in Disney World. Most recently, Jessica played Mama (Nicolette D'Angelo) right here at the Studio last February with an amazing cast whom she'll never forget. Jessica would like to thank her family for being so supportive through this process, as well as Jimmy and Dee Etta for this wonderful opportunity.
Rand Smith (Walter Richardson) studied theatre and voice at Eckerd College, under Dr. Richard Rice and Andra Weddington, and apprenticed at Flat Rock Playhouse in North Carolina. Performing in local theatre for the past sixteen years (Craven, Valjean, de Becque, Tevye, Warbucks, Arthur, El Gallo, Lockstock, Higgins, Henry II, Adams, Flynn, Butler, Bigelow, Petruchio, et al.) and directing for the past ten, Rand enjoys moving people, moving them to reflect, to feel, and sometimes moving them just to laugh, by creating flow, distraction, catharsis, connectedness, and well-being through collaborative storytelling. Sara DelBeato (Carmen) - An accomplished jazz vocalist and actress, Sara is thrilled to return to the Ferraro Studio Theatre stage where she last appeared in PUTTIN' on the GLITZ and as Bobbi Michelle in LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS, and Belle Barth in SOPHIE, TOTIE & BELLE. She is an entertainer with Norwegian Cruise Lines, and most recently performed on the Pride of America cruising the Hawaiian Islands; She is also a swing member of the Norwegian Epic's current company of Broadway's PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT. Sara has toured the country with ARTHUR, LIVE!, based on the PBS television series; This included sold-out performances at Boston's prestigious Colonial Theater. With over 40 book musicals under her belt, favorite regional musical theatre credits include: Fanny Brice in FUNNY GIRL, and Grizabella in CATS. Jimmy Chang (Bernie Luskin) is making his Studio Theatre debut. He has acted in various productions throughout the Tampa Bay area, with previous productions including Boeing, Boeing, Radium Girls, Noises Off, Teahouse of the August Moon, Taming of the Shrew, Measure for Measure, Artist Descending a Staircase and Play It Again, Sam. He is very thrilled to work with the cast and crew, and sends much love to his family for their wonderful support.
