The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe is a comedy that transcends time and space, warping through an eclectic assortment of wildly different characters including Trudy - a homeless hoarder with psychic abilities. According to Trudy, those psychic abilities come from her umbrella hat and are controlled by aliens from outer space who are - you guessed it! - searching for signs of intelligent life in the universe.

The Search For Signs... was made famous on stage and screen by Lily Tomlin in the mid-1980's and was later remounted by her and Jane Wagner on Broadway in 2000, that year winning the Tony for Best Revival of a Play.

Jonelle Meyer (Shipwrecked! - An Entertainment) plays Trudy, et al; and Christopher Rutherford directs.

This production is co-produced by Mr. Rutherford and The Gorilla Theatre and is sponsored in part by a Think Small to Think Big arts micro-grant made possible through Hampton Arts Management and The Gobioff Foundation.

Search for Signs is suitable for teens and older.
