FST introduces audiences to the vivacious vocal trio, The GiGi's in the final Summer Cabaret production of the season. These three female singers use their own unique blend of harmonies and rhythms to bring audiences some of the greatest songs made famous by the legendary girl groups throughout the decades.

The GiGi's runs in the Court Cabaret from August 23 to September 25. Single tickets range from $32-$36 and may be purchased by visiting us online at floridastudiotheatre.org or by calling the box office at (941) 366-9000.

This amazing trio sings the best hits of female artists from the 60s through today! Featuring artists such as The Supremes, Carole King, Wilson Philips, and Meghan Trainor with songs such as "Stop In The Name Of Love," "I Feel The Earth Move," "Hold On," and "All About That Bass."

FST Associate Artist, Catherine Randazzo states, "I eagerly anticipate a fresh twist when the trio reimagines hit songs from many musical eras on the Court Cabaret stage. Their song repertoire is diverse. Starting with the iconic Andrews Sisters, The GiGi's will take us through a musical journey including chart toppers as recent as the past three decades. The GiGi's offer a unique melodic rendering for music lovers. There is something for everyone as the last summer cabaret production creates a beautiful blend of class, style, and tight harmonies."

With a hint of comedy mixed in, this melodic exploration through time showcases: the 40's and 50's, from standards to the birth of rock n 'roll, to the 60's and 70's hits of Abba, disco, and beyond. Listen to the songs that tell the story of women in music - the journey of the female voice then and now.

Known as Sarasota's Contemporary Theatre, Florida Studio Theatre was founded in 1973 by artist Jon Spelman. Starting out as a small touring company, FST traveled to places such as migrant camps and prisons. The company then acquired the former Woman's Club building, becoming the first permanent venue. Shortly after Producing Artistic Director, Richard Hopkins arrived, the building was purchased and renamed The Keating Theatre. In the years that followed, Florida Studio Theatre established itself as a major force in American Theatre, presenting Contemporary Theatre in its five theatre venues: the Keating Theatre, the Gompertz Theatre, the Parisian style Goldstein Cabaret and John C. Court Cabaret, and Bowne's Lab Theatre.

Even with its growth, Florida Studio Theatre remains firmly committed to making the Arts Accessible and affordable to a broad-based audience. FST develops theatre that speaks to our living, evolving, and dynamically changing world. As FST grows and expands, it continues to provide audiences with challenging, contemporary drama and innovative programs.
