Due to popular demand, Florida Studio Theatre is proud to announce the extension of Dancing in the Street, developed by Richard Hopkins and Jim Prosser with special assistance by Rebecca Hopkins. Single tickets for Dancing in the Street range from $18-39.

Dancing in the Street opened in the John C. Court Cabaret on October 22, 2014 with audiences eager to sing and dance along with these iconic songs from some of the greatest female artists in music history. Due to such a positive response, the show has been extended for a 17th week. Returning company member and one of the original Prima Donnettes, Jannie Jones describes her experience on this show stating, "I love doing this show with my sweet and talented cast. What I love even more are the smiles, cheers and participation of our audiences as they travel down memory lane. It's simply a joy."

Audiences have responded with enthusiasm and excitement saying, "Such energy!"and "Absolutely superb, couldn't imagine it better!" The critics agree. The Sarasota-Herald Tribune called the show, "An engaging musical revue." The Observer described it as a, "High energy, feel good revue."

Sharing her thoughts on performing night after night for enthusiastic Sarasota audiences is newcomer, Maggie Politi. "It's fun to have a unique, fresh performance every night. I love being able to look into the audience and work off their smiling faces and energy. Our shows are always impacted by our audience members and the great energy they bring to the theatre."

Fellow cast member, Courtney Stokes also shared her thoughts on what it means to be a part of this toe-tapping revue. "I am excited to be part of Dancing in the Street because I love being able to share and interpret music that has been popular for so many years. It is not often that an actress is given the freedom to put her own spin on material which makes this such a rare and wonderful opportunity."
