Are you ready to Fringe? The program for the first annual Tampa International Fringe Festival has been announced! The inaugural festival will host 29 shows with nearly a hundred separate performances this year in Ybor City, over the course of four days - May 11-14, 2017.

Events will take place across six venues in this historic district. The show venues include HCC Ybor, the Silver Meteor Gallery, Crowbar, and Urban Phoenix, while New World Brewery will be acting as Fringe Central -- the artist and audience hub for information, opening and closing parties, and pre-post-show drinks to talk about the shows. Finally, CL Space will serve as a special event space with VIP events for those holding Eliminator All-Access Passes, and special panels and workshops for artists.

Festival performers come from all over the country and from around the world. Ticket prices are kept low (just $5-$13) so that audiences can binge watch all the performances they want, and spread the love to artists and shows of all genres. To participate in the festival, audience members simply purchase the $5 Fringe BUTTON which enables them to buy tickets for any fringe show. The button system is popular in many festivals across the US and Canada, and helps the Festival to be able to return 100% of the box office to the participants, helping them to continue to create new works and to tour. AND audience members who want to pack it all in can purchase the ELIMINATOR PASS, which allows them to see as many shows as they can squeeze in and attend the special VIP events.

The Tampa International Fringe Festival was founded by William Glenn (Punchdrunk NYC), Trish Parry (Trish Tales), and David Jenkins (Jobsite Theater) in 2016, three USF alums with a common mission of supporting artists to develop new works and engaging with the Tampa Bay community. The first Tampa International Fringe Festival (TiFf) will take place May 11-14, 2017, in Ybor City, featuring unjuried local and touring companies, who will each receive three performances and retain 100% of the box office, from across the spectrum of performing arts - stand-up, dance, theatre, improv, storytelling, and more.

A comprehensive list of shows follows; for more information on the shows themselves, to buy tickets, or how you can participate, go to www.tampafringe.org, or email info@tampafringe.org.
