Creative Loafing's fifth annual GASP!, presented by Tampa International Airport, is a performing arts event like no other - a kaleidoscopic circus of theater, dance, music, spoken word, visual art, soundscapes, cabaret and more at the Tampa Museum of Art on Friday, March 16th, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Early bird tickets available now at GaspTampa.com.
GASP! - created in 2014 by Creative Loafing in collaboration with the Tampa Museum of Art - is the only festival during Gasparilla Arts Month (aka March) that focuses primarily on the performing arts, showcasing multiple genres that collide and surprise. And new this year: GASP! breaks into new territory, going beyond TMA's walls with special outdoor performances everyone can enjoy. Plus, the visual riches of the museum will be open to festival-goers, and food and drink will be available from Mise en Place.
Creative Loafing is currently hosting an open call to artists to be a part of GASP! 2018. To view the application,

About the Tampa Museum of Art
The Tampa Museum of Art opened its award-winning home in 2010 with a commitment to providing innovative public programs with a strong focus on classical, modern, and contemporary art. The Museum balances a growing collection, including one of the largest holdings of Greek and Roman antiquities in the southeastern U.S., with a dynamic annual schedule of special exhibitions. It is the region's largest museum devoted to the art of our time and has built a reputation for embracing contemporary photography and new media. Leo Villareal's Sky (Tampa), the Museum's 14,000-square-foot LED installation on its façade, has become an iconic image for Tampa and the Riverwalk. Since its founding in 1979, the Museum has been dedicated to providing quality education to students and adults, with more than half of its programs offered free of charge. The Museum is home to Sono Café, a "Slow Food Movement" café overlooking Curtis Hixon Park and the Hillsborough River, and has emerged as Tampa's premiere venue for special events.
