Now entering its 28th year, Broadway Theatre Project (BTP), a program described by Playbill as "The world's most prestigious musical theatre arts education program for high school and college students", announces two locations for live audition opportunities for the upcoming 2018 Summer Institute.
One live audition opportunity will take place at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) on Saturday, January 27th from 10am - 12pm. More information is available at: www.nocca.com
There will be two chances to audition for participants of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region 1 from January 30 - February 4. These opportunities to audition will be overseen by BTP Faculty Debra McWaters, Herman Payne , Darren Lorenzo and Cheryl Lee. More information available at: www.http://kcactfl.org. Other live auditions may be posted on the BTP website as they are scheduled, so please check it regularly.
BTP is now accepting applications for the 2018 Summer Apprenticeship program, being held July 8-29, 2018. The deadline for applications and recorded auditions is February 12, 2018 with letters of status are being emailed by February 15th. In order to apply to become an apprentice at BTP 2018, students must complete and send an application form available on www.broadwaytheatreproject.com along with a recorded audition to Debra McWaters at flodecarlo@aol.com by March 24, 2017.
