An exciting new play based on mid-twentieth century frontier America by Anna Brennen. Anna is a prominent theatre figure in the Tampa Bay area, Founder and for 30 years the Producing Artistic Director of Stageworks Theatre and the Producing Artistic Director of Artsfusion, which helped birth Stageworks. Anna also founded Artsfusion, Inc. three years before her beloved Stageworks Theatre.
Anna resumes her play-writing after a two decade hiatus. This play in its infancy received several fellowships: one from the State of Florida Cultural Affairs Division and one from the Arts Council of Hillsborough County and the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners. She has now completed a draft and is eager for the public's response.
Join Anna and the ECHO NEVADA cast for an riveting look at life on a ranch in northeastern Nevada set in 1948 during an early spring storm. The story follows a mismatched group of characters thrown into a rustic world of hardworking, hard living, extreme circumstances, as each try to make their way in life. How and why have they come together? How do they manage to coexist? What are the outcomes of their choices?
These questions will keep you on the edge of your seat until the curtain falls. The unique characters are guaranteed to intrigue you and will linger in your memory for some time to come. This is a world that few people have experienced and is now gone forever- a relic of a rich, adventurous, meaningful American frontier.
