The Senior National Finals is a culmination of a year’s work of perfecting the syllabus of routines and training hard. The girls compete at Olympic Park in the elimination competitions leading up to this prestigious national event, which has been held in the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall every year since it opened 42 years ago.
BJP Physie aims to improve the health of Australian girls and women by promoting physical fitness and mental well-being. Since 1892, the BJP motto has been Mens Sana In Corpore Sano – A healthy mind in a healthy body.
It’s all about empowering girls with the skills to become confident, strong women - getting fit and healthy and having a place where you feel encouraged, supported and valued. For the girls performing to a full house in the Concert Hall, the Finals event is an empowering experience.
Physie encourages a lifelong love of exercise and increases confidence and self-esteem. With great role models to look up to, Physie girls learn about positive body image from a young age and they’re taught to embrace fitness as a way of life. All the routines are choreographed to a vibrant mix of music that everybody loves.
The training that girls receive crosses over into their school life, giving them focus and ability to achieve their goals. Physie’s consistent emphasis on teamwork and self-motivation also helps students to fulfill their dreams. It’s adored by girls of all ages, not only as a way to boost health and wellbeing but as a community of women who know how to get the best out of life!
