Lights On Theatre makes its Australian debut at Sydney Fringe 2024 with the mono-opera Miss Havisham's Wedding Night, directed by Spark Sanders Robinson. This adaptation of Dominick Argento's work features a compelling one-woman performance that explores themes from Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. The production incorporates shadow puppetry and features an original song cycle by Sydney-based composer Jorde Heys, responding to Argento's score with the words of 17th Century poet Lady Mary Wroth. Designed by illustrator Jaqueline Chapman, this innovative piece highlights the emerging talent within Sydney's arts community.
