Taikoz Announce Free Community Workshops In October

Taikoz will reach a milestone of 20 years in October 2017, and to celebrate they are inviting Sydney to join the party with a series of free taiko workshops at Sydney Town Hall and Zetland's Green Square Community Centre.

Everyone is welcome to experience the thunderous energy and joy of taiko (Japanese drum) with workshops catered to corporate groups, teens and the whole family.

On October 5th, Taikoz will take over the City of Sydney Lower Town Hall for the whole day with their talented and welcoming instructors leading school holiday workshops for children aged eight and up (and their grown-ups), corporate workshops for city workers and their friends, and teens workshops for young people. Then on October 14th the Taikoz team head to Zetland's Green Square with an afternoon of workshops at the community centre for a fun alternative weekend activity.

Taiko is not only a musical activity but also a great form of exercise that combines cultural appreciation, fun and teamwork. Prior musical training is not required - the only pre-requisite is an open heart and mind! Taikoz's classes are a truly unique, meditative yet energised experience. As Taikoz is celebrate 20 years of incredible music making, performance and education - there's never been a better time to beat the drum!
