The Sydney Opera House today announced that the international runaway hit of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Adelaide Fringe Festival "Pick of the Fringe 2018" winner, The Choir of Man, will premiere in Sydney next year from 20 March to 7 April.

Set in a cosy British pub called "The Jungle", The Choir of Man combines incredible vocals with high energy dance, live percussion and foot stomping choreography. Most pubs have a football club, a darts team, or an intimidatingly vast array of craft beer - this one has a male voice choir. The show even has a real working bar from which the cast will pull pints and invite audience members to get up-close-and-personal with the show, drinking in the action on-stage.

This musical adventure features a cast of nine mates performing pop, folk and rock classics over drinks. With a set-list that includes hits from the likes of Paul Simon, Adele, Avicii, Queen and Guns N' Roses, there's something for everyone in this joyous evening. An energetic show for all ages, The Choir of Man brings together world-class singers, dancers, instrumentalists and poets with flawless vocal harmonies.

Sydney Opera House Head of Contemporary Performance, Olivia Ansell, says: "This uplifting show about a bunch of guys who love to sing at their local has taken the world by storm. The soaring popularity of choirs the world over proves that human connection, music and mateship is still at the heart of who we are."

The Choir of Man Producer and Director, Nic Doodson, states, "The guys have spent the last couple of years touring the UK and the USA and they can't wait to bring the show to Sydney. This show is such a great time for all - whether it's a ladies night, first date, guys night out or even a hen party! So, grab your best mates and we'll see you at the venue...the first pint is on us (seriously!)."
