From 18 to 19 August, Western Sydney audiences have the chance to catch the stage adaptation of Andy Griffiths' and Terry Denton's best-selling book, The 26-Storey Treehouse, when it comes to Riverside Theatres as part of a national tour.
This original stage adaptation follows the highly successful production of The 13-Storey Treehouse, which premiered in 2013 to critical and audience acclaim and completed a major national tour in 2014.
The 26-Storey Treehouse picks up where the 13-Storey Treehouse left off, with much loved characters Andy and Terry joined on stage by their neighbour Jill and the mysterious Hector Houtkop. The newly expanded Treehouse features 13 brand-new storeys with more inventions such as the 78 flavour ice-cream-dispensing robot, the brain bamboozling Maze of Doom, and the self-inflating underpants.
"The 26-Storey Treehouse play, like the book, extends and deepens the fun that began in The 13-Storey," said New York Times best-selling author, Andy Griffiths. 'It's even crazier and more ridiculous than the first play and it's got a pirate with a wooden head! Who could ask for anything more?"
Adapted by award-winning playwright and author Richard Tulloch (The Book of Everything, Bananas in Pyjamas) under the artistic direction of Julian Louis and directed by Liesel Badorrek, The 26-Storey Treehouse is a smash-hit on stage!
