17 August 2015: Audiences across the world can watch the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in Wagner's Tristan und Isolde with Chief Conductor and Artistic Director David Robertson on the SSO YouTube channel in a three-part HD series with behind-the-scenes features and interviews, launched today.

The celebrated Opera in Concert release, filmed at sold-out performances at the Sydney Opera House in June 2015, celebrates the 150th anniversary year of Tristan und Isolde's first performance in Munich.

The first Act of the opera is now available on the SSO's YouTube channel with a behind-the-scenes interview with David Robertson and American soprano Christine Brewer exploring how Wagner weaves emotion and music together in this tragic love story.

Act II and Act III will be released on 31 August and 14 September, allowing arts lovers and Wagner fans to watch the entire opera at home.

With Brewer and Canadian heldentenor Lance Ryan in the title roles, the production was backed by magnificent dreamlike projections by New York-based visual artist S. Katy Tucker.
