For those who dream of singing on the Sydney Opera House stage, the perfect opportunity is awaiting. Sydney Philharmonia Choirs is inviting anyone with a love of song, to apply to join their renowned team of choristers.
With three choir groups rehearsing regularly every week, and others that come together for special event performances, the Choirs offer a range of singing options to suit individual tastes, needs and abilities.
Whilst auditions are required for places in the most advanced choirs, a simple voice assessment aimed at identifying the music part your voice is most suited to, is all that is needed to get started in a singing program.
Rehearsals for all Sydney Philharmonia Choir performances are held in Central Sydney and led by two of Australia's most highly regarded choral teachers and conductors - Sydney Philharmonia Choirs' Music Director, Brett Weymark, and VOX Music Director Elizabeth Scott.
Applications for all choirs are open throughout the year, with special auditions and open days taking place at regular intervals.
