The Sydney Fringe Festival has released details and opened ticket sales for the full 2015 program, presented from 1 until 30 September at 50 partner venues across inner Sydney. The vibrant program includes more than 300 ticketed productions, spanning theatre, music, comedy, visual art, film, cabaret, musical theatre, dance, circus, literature and poetry.

Highlighting the city's vibrant culture and dynamic independent arts sector, for the first time in 2015 Sydney Fringe presents a Festival Village in Erskineville and a range of pop-up spaces, shop fronts and street activations, breathing creative energy into the streetscapes of the Inner-West.

2015 Festival Director Kerri Glasscock has curated the Festival with a different focus each week, spotlighting 'The Inner City' in opening week, followed by 'The Festival Heart' in week two and 'The Treats Continue' in the third week. The fourth week is focused on family events and closing week is dubbed as 'The Last Days'.

Festival Director Kerri Glasscock said: "Sydney Fringe shines a light on independent work that happens all year around. It aims to pilot big ideas, present a diversity of thought-provoking content and uncover the constant evolution of the arts in Sydney. We are excited to partner with APRA and the Live Music Office for FRINGE IGINITE and kick the Festival off with an energy and dynamism that characterises what Sydney Fringe stands for."

FRINGE IGNITE celebrates the launch of the Festival on Saturday 5 September, with live music and performances bringing the streets of Erskineville to life from 3pm until 7pm, along Erskineville Road. This event, curated by APRA AMCOS ambassador and Thirsty Merc front man Rai Thistlethwayte, will see shop fronts, venues, cafes, restaurants and the 1920's themed Festival Hub bar transformed into an enormous musical feast. In addition, audiences can catch the amazing De Quincey Co for a site-specific performance MOONDANCE in Erskineville Anglican Church at 8pm and 6 Degrees of Ned Kelly in the pop-up The Village Theatre at 7pm.

Yoke Pop-Up Magazine, will present a series of events as part of Pop-Up Fringe. Partnering with Artereal Gallery, Yoke brings a series of provocative artist-led conversations and performances. Other events will include Yoga Under The Stars, a Beautiful Pages pop-up store, Your Gut Feeling - a panel discussion with health and food gurus and The Ultimate Balancing Act - a free event with Sydney Fringe Director Kerri Glasscock and other women on the work-life balance.

Spanning the five weeks of Sydney Fringe Festival will also be a range of Artist Master Classes, including lessons on creating terrariums, candle-making and resin jewellery-making. The classes will be held in both Newtown and Chatswood.

Other Festival highlights include:

Musical acts by the likes of Wes Carr, presenting 'Here Comes The Sun', a showcase of Carr's interpretation of George Harrison's songbook, sharing intimate tales and anecdotes from Harrison himself on 4 September. Hosted by Redfern Community Centre on 12 September, Redfern Groove will be a free day celebrating Indigenous music, art, culture and community. Venue 505 will play host to Ursula Yovich, performing on 16 September with a set of blues and soul originals and covers while Don Walker, of Cold Chisel fame, makes a rare Sydney appearance with his exceptional band on 17 September.

Theatre and drama performances across venues such as the Old 505 Theatre play host to Dark Vanilla Jungle by Philip Ridley, a drama about one girl's craving for family and home. Village Theatre will be home to 6 Degrees of Ned Kelly from 2 to 6 September, a play about the truth of a family's links to Ned Kelly. To be presented by The Kings Collective from 1 to 14 September as part of Pop-Up Fringe in a secret and yet-to-be revealed location, is the immersive and theatrical event, The Wonderful World of Dissocia by Anthony Neilson.

Comedy acts such as New Zealand comedian Jonny Potts, who won the 2015 New Zealand Fringe Festival Best Stand-Up and Best Writing Awards presents Loose: A Private History of Booze and Iggy Pop 1996-2015. Potts performs a show about psychedelic drugs, small towns, fast cars and toasted panini. Giant Dwarf in Redfern hosts Winter Is Coming, a comedy-musical that involves dragons, handsome beards, incest, awesome wigs, a throne, wine and plastic swords. A spoof of the popular HBO drama Game of Thrones, Winter Is Coming runs from 9 to 11 September. Comedian Tommy Dean will also make multiple appearances at The Factory Theatre presenting 'Lessons Learned Gaming,' a roadmap to life using board games and their rules.

Marrickville Library presents Borrow A Human, a Human Library concept which substitutes bound books for people. Quite simply, "readers" visit the library, choose a human "book" and sit down to experience a life story. With each session lasting 20 minutes, the Human Library will be open at branch locations on select dates during Sydney Fringe Festival.

Closing out the Festival on Saturday 26 September, the Silent Dinner Project returns to quietly unite Sydney folk with its biggest banquet yet. Prepared by Sydney's Studio NEON chefs, guests should expect an inspirational evening menu filled with local and seasonal produce paired with drinks by the team from Nobel Cut. Guests are requested to refrain from using their voice and technology for at least two hours while their senses are captivated by colour, texture and flavour.
