Following the enormous success of their sell-out Mystery Musical shows, BYE BYE BIRDIE and HELLO, DOLLY, Squabbalogic Independent Music Theatre is inviting audiences to take a leap of faith again with MYSTERY MUSICAL #3 on Monday 29th February at the Seymour Centre.

A fundraiser with a difference, MYSTERY MUSICAL #3 is a one-off staged reading (and singing) of a top-secret musical theatre classic that has long been waiting in the wings. This time Squabbalogic hope to reach a fundraising target of $25,000 for their 2016 season, and audiences will be rewarded for their support with a unique, and undeniably fun, theatrical experience.

Under the direction of Dean Vince (co-director of Hello, Dolly and choreographer of Triassic Parq) and musical direction of Hayden Barltrop (Grey Gardens, The Fantasticks), Debora Krizak (Anything Goes, Sondheim on Sondheim) will lead the cast of MYSTERY MUSICAL #3, which will feature a stellar line-up of Squabbalogic's emerging and high-profile professional artists, as well as a full ensemble of students from the Australian Institute of Music.

"The enthusiasm for our Mystery Musicals in 2015 was beyond our expectations of this curious idea," said Squabbalogic artistic director Jay James-Moody. "But they have become a much needed fundraiser for our seasons as we take steps to support our independent artists and work towards adequate wages for the sector, so we're delighted audiences have been clamouring for more. We are so grateful to the incredibly talented cast and creatives for loaning their considerable talents to the cause - and keeping the secret, which can't be easy!"

For musical theatre detectives, Squabbalogic have hinted that this show was written after Hello, Dolly and Bye Bye Birdie, and has a very different musical feel to the previous Mystery Musicals. But that's all we're allowed to say!
