STAGE TUBE: Adam & Arielle Jacobs Surprise Parents with Big ALADDIN News!

It's a happy day for the Jacobs family! Brother and sister Adam and Arielle Jacobs just surprised their parents with the news that Arielle will be playing Princess Jasmine in the Australian production of Aladdin opening in Sydney this August. Adam, who stars as the title character on Broadway, helped out with an adorable video to reveal the news to their parents, and you can check it out below!

Arielle Jacobs (Princess Jasmine) starred on Broadway in the smash-hit Wicked (Nessarose) and in the Tony & Grammy award-winning musical In The Heights (Nina Rosario), opposite creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. Off-Broadway, she has starred in two world-premiere plays by Pulitzer-winning playwright and director Nilo Cruz; entitled Sotto Voce (Lucila Pulpo) and the one-woman show Farhad or the Secret of Being (Farhad) which was filmed for the Lincoln Center Public Library Archives. She had the honor to perform in the Guggenheim Museum's "Works & Process" series, singing songs from a new adaption of George Bizet's Carmen with the Tectonic Theater Project. Outside of New York, she appeared in the original National Tours of In the Heights(Nina) and Disney's High School Musical (Gabriella), Shakespeare Theatre Company's production of Two Gentlemen of Verona: a Rock Opera (Julia), DreamCatcher Theatre Company's production of Into the Woods(Baker's Wife) opposite Tituss Burgess as the Witch, and RENT (Mimi). Pre-Broadway workshops include: Jodi Picoult's Between the Lines, Atlantis, Diamond Alice, Secondhand Lions, It Shoulda Been You, Head Over Heels, Nightingale, MASK. Selected TV/film credits: "Taxi Brooklyn (NBC);" "Disney's 365;" "Commander in Chief;" "Dance War;" and "Water Lilies". She has performed onstage in many of America's greatest concert halls (including Lincoln Center in NYC, The Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Symphony Hall in Boston, Yale Hall, the Saenger Theater in New Orleans, Kauffman Center, and many more) beside legendary artists such as Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Chaka Khan, Teena Marie, and Stephen Schwartz.
