Photo Flash: Birdie Productions Presents THE LITTLE MERMAID

Birdie Productions invites you to journey under the sea with us at The Little Mermaid, from 13th-22nd April 2018 at the Bryan Brown Theatre in Bankstown.

Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney's The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner, Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including Under the Sea, Kiss the Girl and Part of Your World. Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea.

Starring Jaime Hadwen (Muriel's Wedding) as Ariel, Tom Ragen as Prince Eric, Michele Lansdowne as Ursula and Julian Kuo as Sebastian this show will recreate the timeless magic of this classic Disney tale and is a show that the whole family will enjoy!

Birdie Productions are a Pro-Am theatre company that made its debut into the theatrical scene in 2015 with the toe tapping Hot Shoe Shuffle? starring Daryl Somers. Since their debut, they have produced Keating!, 13: A New Musical?, Seussical! which starred Sam Moran (of Wiggles fame), Fame ?starring Kat Hoyos (Here Come the Habibs) and Lyndall Wennekes (The Voice) and most recently a joint venture with writer and director Jonathon Holmes, Birdie produced the return season of Three in the Bed? a new Aussie musical.
